This is the first post in a series explaining how to perform influencer outreach.
This post will talk about reasons, statistics and some background information, the actual process will be described in the next post.
Influencer marketing is a growing trend for business owners, but the question arises as to what is the best way to do it. You want to be able to connect with them as well as promote your content. They have the access you want as well as the trust, but you don’t know how. Maybe you are approaching it the wrong way. You always want to start out with unpaid influencers first, since they are easier to get.
There are 3 main categories into which influencers fall. There are celebrities, which most likely are not going to work for you (since they always usually require payment). The other two are power and niche influencers. They usually have smaller audiences with high levels of engagement and almost always within their field. Influencer marketing is big business.
The Law of Influencer Attraction
This is a method which if executed properly, can help you to improve your reach.
· Relationship- You need to nurture it gradually, it will not happen right away
· Trust- Always make sure to build this. It will help to build the relationship even further
· Value- You always need to provide this in some way, remember it is not about you.
· Honesty- This goes without saying, you don’t want to harm your integrity.
This law basically states if you like, respect and trust someone and always give to others first, influencers will be attracted to you. If you keep these tips in mind, and develop the proper mindset, you will be successful in attracting influencers.
Our next post will discuss the actual process needed to perform the outreach.
